Following degrees in fashion design and illustration from Parsons and Pratt in NYC, Vanessa Knox’s career kicked off when she became Head Designer of lingerie at Natori followed by her  role as a Head Designer for Victoria’s Secret. 

In 2001, Vanessa co-founded Isabella Oliver whilst pregnant with her first child after finding it extremely difficult to buy stylish and contemporary clothing to wear during pregnancy. Vanessa’s skills in lingerie design gives her a unique perspective on cut and flattering fit and as Chief Designer for Isabella Oliver she can claim much credit for establishing the company as a leader in its field. In 2010 Vanessa left the company to launch her own eponymous designer collection, supported by a complementary maternity offering.  The label is currently enjoying its second season and is available online at www.vanessaknox.com.  The collections are designed to suit the busy, modern, multi-faceted woman (much like herself) and follow Vanessa’s own easy, fuss free style to see them through every situation with confidence. The label is favoured by stylish women such as Thandie Newton, Joanna Lumley, Sam Taylor Wood, Heidi Klum, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Sienna Miller and Angelina Jolie amongst others.

Vanessa lives in Fulham, London with her husband and has two children:  nine year old Isabella Honor (who wants to be a designer when she grows up) and seven year old Piers who plans to be a singer and a vet.
